April 09, 2009 For more information contact Office of External Relations and Communication, 603-226-2170 Funding Workshop for CDBG Affordable Housing and Public Facility Projects $3.3 Million in Grant Funds Available CONCORD, NH - The Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA), located in Concord, NH, will be conducting an Application Writing Workshop for the statewide Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Affordable Housing and Public Facilities Program, on Tuesday, May 5, 2009. Approximately $3.3 million in grant funding will be available for municipalities and nonprofits to do affordable housing and public facilities improvements that benefit low- and moderate-income New Hampshire citizens. Topics of the workshop will include an introduction of CDFA and its financing programs, CDBG national objective compliance, CDBG eligible activities and federal requirements, deadlines, and evaluation criteria. Additionally, an introduction of CDFA's Grants Management System, the online program that is being rolled out in 2009 for all grantees to use in order to apply for CDFA funds, will be presented.
