Notice of Public Hearing
New Hampshire will soon be receiving $19.6 million through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. The purpose of this program is to help communities put foreclosed and abandoned housing properties back into service with the benefit of rehabilitation and extended affordability. The Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) will be administering the program, and is currently drafting a plan concerning how these funds will be distributed and what uses they will be targeted for during 2008 and 2009.
In addition to consultation with the New Hampshire Housing and Community Development Planning Council, HUD requires that agencies and individuals be given the opportunity to share their thoughts concerning this or any other plan developed for the use of certain HUD funds. A public comment period shall begin on October 30, 2008 with the posting of a draft plan on the NH Community Development Finance Authority’s web site www.nhcdfa.org, and extend through November 14, 2008. Printed copies of the draft plan will be available upon request by calling CDFA at 603-717-9104 to members of the general public lacking internet access.
During this period comments may be submitted electronically to neighborhood@nhcdfa.org
