CDFAs Downtown Resource Center (DRC) offers high quality services and training to any New Hampshire community working to strengthen its downtown. Services from the Downtown Resource Center range from:
- assisting with a finite project such as the creation of façade design guidelines;
- community organizing for an initiative like the preservation and redevelopment of an historic building in downtown; or
- working with communities that either have or want a comprehensive economic development strategy in their commercial core, such as a nationally recognized Main Street Program.
The Downtown Resource Center is the statewide Main Street Coordinating program in New Hampshire, as designated by the National Main Street Center.
Communities interested in being a catalyst for change in their downtowns may join the Downtown Resource Center at various levels and/or take advantage of an a la carte menu of services. The membership levels, a la carte menu of services, and the additional training workshops were developed to help communities improve their traditional commercial cores.
The Downtown Resource Center provides a variety of learning opportunities to stakeholders with a role in the preservation and revitalization of New Hampshires historic resources. Education opportunities are offered through workshops, seminars, and a variety of specialized training services. These events provide recipients with the information, techniques, and tools needed to support preservation and revitalization within their own community.
Downtown revitalization and historic preservation enrich our quality of life, enhance our neighborhoods, and restore our communities so they are better places in which to live, work, celebrate, and visit! Contact CDFAs Downtown Resource Center to find out how you can utilize our services.
